Recording rules

What to record, what to keep out of the picture and how to handle your files. Recordings that break the rules are not paid.

Every recording is reviewed against these rules. Recordings that break them are not approved and are not paid, so please read them carefully.

Your hands and the task

  • Keep both hands in the picture. Recordings where your hands are mostly out of view are not paid.
  • Record real, useful housework with a clear before and after: dishes, cooking, cleaning, laundry, tidying up. Ask yourself: would I pay a good house cleaner to do this? If not, don't record it.
  • Work at your normal speed and move naturally. Stop recording when you are not working: setting up and waiting are not paid.
  • Stand, or sit on a chair. Don't work on the floor.

People and pets

  • Nobody under 19 may appear or be heard. If a child or teenager comes in, stop recording and delete that clip.
  • Record alone whenever you can. Anyone else who might appear must agree to be recorded before you upload. Getting their agreement is your responsibility.
  • Pets in the background are fine. Don't touch or play with them while you record.

Keep private things out of view

  • Faces, including faces in mirrors and photos
  • ID cards, letters and documents with names, addresses or phone numbers
  • Screens: put your phone, tablet and smartwatch away, and turn the TV off

Your setup

  • An iPhone 12 or newer, in the head strap on your head, right-side up. No tripods, and don't hold it.
  • A clean lens and the room lights on.
  • Shoes, socks or slippers whenever your feet could show.
  • Be fully dressed.

Food

  • No raw meat, chicken or fish.
  • No rotten food.

Your phone and your files

  • Turn off location tagging for the camera.
  • Record and upload only in the recording app we give you once you're approved. Never send recordings by chat or email.
  • Once an upload is confirmed, delete the recording from your phone.

Approved Trainers get the full Trainer Handbook, with examples and recording limits, and take a short rules quiz before their first recording. To learn how approved recordings turn into pay, see how payments work.
